"The access code doesn't work"
Check for a confused character — 0 and O, 1 and l are the usual culprits when a code is read aloud or handwritten. Sending the share link instead avoids the problem entirely.
"It says the assessment is closed"
The assessment has been deliberately closed by whoever created it. Nobody can start or continue it while it is closed. If you did not close it yourself, ask the counselor who created it.
"It says the deadline has passed"
The assessment had a deadline and it has gone by. See Creating assessments if you want to extend or remove a deadline for future assessments — an assessment already past its own deadline needs a new one created if you want to keep collecting responses.
"Nobody appears in my Participants list"
Results appear when someone finishes the assessment, not when they start it. Someone midway through will not be visible yet.
"I see people I don't recognise"
Expected — see Sharing an assessment. Your link is open, so anyone holding it can use it. They arrive as pending and cost you nothing until you approve them.
